Swimming Pool Cleaning

Cleaning a pool isn’t very difficult, especially not in Jacksonville Florida where the weather stays pretty nice most of the time, you need to know how to take a net and remove leaves, use a brush to scrub the walls, and drop a chlorine tablet in a device…I’m pretty sure most people can manage these task. The reason so many people have their pools cleaned by someone else is the time that they save. I like to think that the customers for our company use that extra time to spend with their families. It makes me feel like we are helping improve the lives of our customers and that is the best feeling ever!

Whether you would like the extra time you save to take a quick trip on the boat, a walk on the beach, to get that workout in, or any of the other reasons you could use some extra time, we are excited to help you with your swimming pool cleaning in Jacksonville Florida and want you to be able to have more time for you and your family and less time cleaning the pool…even if it is very easy!

Getting Started

I have been a hard worker all my life. I have always given things my best shot and had faith that in the end it will all work out. After more than 14 years with a great swimming pool company in Jacksonville Florida it was time to spread my wings and start out on a new adventure where I could build something of my own…hopefully something amazing! Not amazing “I’m going to be rich” but amazing “I love what I do and the life that I have” amazing.

Things weren’t going well at the company where I was an employee…actually, things were horrible! The previous owner (that I worked with for 13 years) had sold the company to a new owner and that person seemed to have everything figured out. He had been our business coach for years and consulted for approximately 20 other companies in Jacksonville at the time so it seemed he could take the company and catapult us into the future. He said all the right things and did all the right things (at least that is what we were lead to think). But in the end, the moves and declensions that he made, ultimately bankrupted the company. I don’t want it to sound like it was all his fault because I am sure there were some other circumstances that came along with the destruction of the company (not being properly funded was one of the major problems), but it doesn’t really matter at this point whose fault it was, what matters is that it gave me the opportunity to be here, right now, creating something that is exciting and scary!

I have been given a lot of support from friends and family and even some strangers who have heard my story from someone and the out pouring of support is emotionally overwhelming! I cannot thank you all enough for all that you have done for me, and the only way I know to show you that, is to make sure I succeed! So I will put my all into Southern Elegance Pools and WE will be successful! Thank you all!

Hurricane Matthew

The big storm has come and gone (and hopefully it isn’t circling back) and it seems that most people have been very fortunate! There were some fences down and a BUNCH of limbs and leaves down (and in pools)…but we are happy to spend a couple of extra hours cleaning swimming pools in Jacksonville Florida compared to the alternative!

With all the rain and debris that was dumped into the water you can be assured that your phosphate level is high! Why is this relevant? Because phosphates are food for algae. If you are having an algae bloom and you have plenty of chlorine in your pool, or you keep adding chlorine and it is gone immediately, this could be part of the reason. Here is a great link to an article about phosphates…The Truth About Phosphates

We hope and pray that you have came through the storm in as good, or better, form than what we have seen, but if you haven’t and need some help, please let us know and we will do what we can to help!
